Innovation in mobile handsets is nothing new. Leading handset manufacturers keep experimenting with the design, features and functionality of mobile phone models with the sole objective of enhancing the ultimate experience of phone users with the innovative gadgets.

Customers are the ultimate beneficiaries as they get to enjoy certain features in their mobile phones, which were considered beyond the realms of possibility, even a couple of years ago. The Blackberry Pearl is one such handset that is the outcome of an on-going process of innovation.

As a matter of fact, Blackberry Pearl promises quite a lot to potential users. For starters, one is assured of the ‘Blackberry experience’ that people have come to love. An intuitive interface makes sure that operating the many facets of this amazing mobile phone is not that difficult.

This feature rich smartphone comes with sophisticated digital camera options, innovative multimedia capabilities and an expandable memory slot for more comprehensive storage. In addition, the small, stylish and compact profile of the Blackberry Pearl makes owning it a matter of pride.

A quad-band GSM/GPRS and EDGE-enabled mobile phone, the Blackberry Pearl connects you to an ever-changing world. A 1.3 megapixel camera with built-in flash and 5x digital zoom; a media player and stereo headset jack makes sure that there is no dearth of entertainment. You can share the images and video clips with friends and family through MMS, email or Blackberry Messenger.

The handset is empowered to send emails and text messages - even on the move. And when you receive a message - the ultra-bright high resolution display with light sensing technology makes sure that you enjoy going through the same.

Intuitive call management features such as speed dialling, conference calling and call forwarding make the Blackberry Pearl a phone user’s delight. Speaker Independent Voice Recognition for Voice Activated Dialling (VAD) and Bluetooth compatibility are two other key features of this versatile handset.

How to Save Your Laptop’s Life After it Drowns

Bloged in Laptop Computers by All Handhelds Friday December 29, 2006 at about 8:30 am

Sorry for the overly dramatic title post. I was extreme and I apologize. Sorta.

Below is a link to a really great and potentially disaster-averting article for you and your laptop. If you’re even a fraction as clumsy and accident prone as I am, it’s information you’ll need sooner rather than later. It’s titled, “How to Save Your Laptop After a Spill.”

We all know it takes just a few drops of liquid to destroy a laptop. And because of their “I wanna be everywhere you are” mentality, that’s a major problem with laptops. The information in this article could potentially save your relationship.

Water, coffee, and soda are among your laptop’s worst enemies. Just a little bit of such a liquid on your laptop keyboard can damage or destroy your machine or cause you to lose data. (Click HERE to continue reading…..)

The Sooloos Music Server. The WHAT?!

Bloged in General, Defies a Category by All Handhelds Friday December 8, 2006 at about 8:37 am

Here’s another luxury gadget - but as far as I can tell, this one doesn’t seek to make the world a better place - it just wants to give it a better beat.

The Sooloos Music Server has innovative touch-screen controls and can hold up to 3 Terabytes of music: That’s roughly 6,000 albums. 6,000! But before you get any really large ideas, you should know that each of these 6,000 albums basically carries a $2,000 price tag.

The Sooloos Music Server is $12,000. Even if I had the burden of that kind of money in the bank, I wouldn’t chuck it all down at once on music. Well, not unless it was a concert featuring Gwen Stefani, Lenny Kravitz, Jessica Simpson, Beyonce, Keira Knightley, Johnny Depp, and Bon Jovi. Even then, they’d all have to be naked. And wrestling in grape Jell-O. Yeah, that’d amuse me. That’d $12,000 amuse me.

And, yes, we’re fully aware that Keira and the Depp are actors rather than musicians (though he actually does sing) - but what’s a $12,000 Jell-O Wrestling concert without them?

Overpriced.

The Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH

Bloged in Digital Cameras by All Handhelds Wednesday December 6, 2006 at about 8:18 am

The lovely, above, is the Princess Diana of the camera world. Elegant, bejeweled, but equally benevolent. The Bejeweled Canon PowerShot Digital ELPH is decorated with real diamonds and valued at about $50, 000 each. Flashy? Sure, but it has a heart of gold.

Proceeds from an auction of the five 10th anniversary Canon ELPH cameras will go to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Canon UK has a similar effort with proceeds from that auction going to the Red Cross.
